AI Isn't Just a Tech Conversation. It's a Care Conversation.

FT Academy joined NTUC LearningHub's Healthcare Sector event to explore how AI is reshaping workflows and freeing clinicians for patient care.

Healthcare workers show up every day for others. The least we could do was show up for them. 🤝

FT Academy had the privilege of being part of the NTUC LearningHub Healthcare Sector event: a gathering that was equal parts knowledge-sharing and genuine appreciation for the people who carry one of the most demanding sectors on their shoulders.

Our speaker, Yau Png Ow, opened with something the room clearly needed to hear:

AI isn’t just a tech conversation.

It’s a care conversation.

From embedded AI to agentic AI, Yau Png walked through how these tools are already reshaping healthcare workflows. Less time drowning in paperwork. More time for the patient in front of you.

Alongside him, Hock Lin Sng 孫福霖 shed light on aging care, and Patrick YC Lim brought a refreshing lens on nutrition and longevity through the Blue Zones framework.

Three different topics. One common thread: how do we take better care of people?

The Q&A that followed said it all.

“How do I know my patients’ data is protected?”

“How do I convince leadership to adopt AI?”

These aren’t the questions of a sector that’s resistant. They’re the questions of a sector that cares deeply and wants to get it right.

We believe education doesn’t wait for regulation. The more prepared these professionals are today, the better equipped they’ll be when the frameworks catch up.

To everyone in the room: thank you for your questions, your openness, and most of all, your service. 🌱

We’re just getting started with the healthcare sector, and we’re glad to be on this journey with you.
